Aaron Enns: A passion for art and guiding in the mountains

Inspired by nature

Aaron Enns is a ACMG Ski Guide, a multi media artist specializing in acrylics and block printing, an organic gardening vegetarian, and a guitar playing ski mountaineer with a love for human powered adventures.

He began spending time in Golden in 1992 when his family purchased the Goat Mountain Lodge in the Blaeberry valley. Here he got his start in guiding hiking, horseback riding and heli-hiking at the age of 14.  He’s made his home in Golden for the last twenty-four years, working as a ski patroller, avalanche technician, hiking guide and tree planter as well as guiding backcountry skiing and snowboarding. He was educated at Emily Carr Institute of Art and in the mountains of British Columbia.

For Aaron, art encompasses creating aesthetic ski lines on remote mountain summits, block printing T-shirt designs, creating permaculture landscape and garden designs as well as standard mediums such as painting, drawing, printmaking and photography.

He thanks all others who inspire and expire creativity and freedom in the mountains.
